This is a classic heavy-duty Marvel No. 12 hacksaw frame, made by Armstrong-Blum Mfg. Co. The frame is stamped:

• “MARVEL FRAME No. 12”

• “ALWAYS USE UNBREAKABLE MARVEL BLADE No. 1218-N”

• “PATENTED”

• “ARMSTRONG–BLUM MFG. CO., CHICAGO U.S.A.”

This frame was designed for use with Marvel’s famous 1218-N unbreakable blades, but it currently includes a Buck Bros. 12” × 32 TPI high-speed flexible blade.

Marvel saw frames are known for their strength, rigidity, and excellent tensioning system—highly collectible and still fully usable in modern shops.
