Vintage ADAM & WESTLAKE CO. Railroad Padlock

This Vintage ADAM & WESTLAKE CO. Railroad Padlock is in fair - good condition.  It is made of  brass.  Unfortunately we don't have the key and it is locked.  It shows evidence of use, but the chain shackle is intact and the spring loaded keyway cover, although a little sticky, still works.  The lock has the "ADAM & WESTLAKE CO. CHICAGO PHILA U.S.A." LOGO stamped on the lock shackle.  The "U.S.A." is double stamped.  We have not cleaned or restored these in any

manner, as we leave those decisions up to the eventual buyer.

This solid brass lock was commonly used on railcars and railroad equipment during the early-mid 20th century and is a great example of historic railroad hardware craftsmanship.
