Vintage Duro Metal Products Co. No. 411 valve grinder / lapping tool

Hand-crank reciprocating valve lapper used for grinding engine valves. Marked “No. 411” on the body and “Chicago – Pat. No. 1749300” on the crank arm (see photos).

Condition:

• Pre-owned, barn-find condition

• Original red paint with heavy wear, chips and scratches

• Surface rust and patina on shaft and head

• Wooden knobs show age/darkening but are intact

• Turning the handle moves the shaft, but it is untested with valves

• Sold as-is, for display, restoration, or use
